The story starts after Ana and Christians break up. Ana then starts working as a personal assistant to editor Jack Hyde at SIP.Jack cleary has a thing for miss narator of the book-Ana Steele. The pair then gets back together. Christian feeling queazy about Jack, buys the SIP. Jack and Ana were supposed to fly to New York together for work but Christian freezes the company's accounts so that Ana would not be able to go. Ana flashed her eyes with anger towards Christian. Furious that Christian had interfered with her career.

Christian insists that Jack is a womanizer and that he only interfered to protect her. Christians suspicions about Jack becomes true when one day, Jack corners Ana and demands for "sexual favours". Jack was then fired after Ana told Christian.

Leila, one of Christians ex submissive that became mentally ill after losing her spouse in a car accident. Leila starts stalking Ana and Christian.The situation comes to head when Leila surprises Ana in her apartment with and threatens her with a gun. Christian managed to calm Leila down and eventually he brought her to a mental hospital. While Christian was sorting out Leila, Ethan, Kate's brother decided to calm Ana down. Both of them drank coffee in the cafe across the road while waiting for Christian to be done at the apartment. 

Ana is worried that she is not enough for Christian, that she is not able to satisfy his needs. He fears that she will leave him again so he impulsively asked Ana to marry him but she needs time to think about it. Jose visits Ana in Seattle. Christian is still envious of him as he still sees him as a romantic rival. Next, Christian suddenly goes missing while flying one of his helicopters on a business. He then arrives his apartment unharmed. It was then that Ana finally realized that she does not ever want to be without him and accepts his proposal.

The next day, his family throwed him a surprise birthday dinner. Everyone was there. Kate,Mia, The Greys',Dr. Flynn and his wife and even....Mrs. Robinson. Mrs. Robinson (Elena) threatened Ana and tried to mess with her head. She insisted that Christian will never be truly satisfied with the "vanilla relationship''.  Christian interferes. His parents are furious that Elena preyed on their son. Elena leaves the house, disgraced and Christian decides to end the relationship.

Christian pulls Ana aside and takes her to his boathouse. Ana wanted a proposal with "hearts and flowers". When she entered the room, the room was filled with beautiful flowers. Christian then kneeled down  and puled out a ring. Yes, he proposed for real this time. But just outside the Greys' Mansion, Jack Hyde is hiding. Angry- Planning his revenge.

Besides sex. This book was rather good and interesting. Definitely more drama this time. I would say Id rate this book; 7/10.The new characters like Leila, and Jack definitely add more action to otherwise the romantic novel.

As the book goes on, we learn about Christian and his childhood. To be honest, there were some really sad parts. Again. we are getting deeper and deeper which answers a lot of questions but still leaving us wanting more.The last chapter in my opinion were cheesy and lovely and oh so romantic. The proposal was so lovely I was so happy that i felt like crying haha.

If you like dirty,scandalous and romantic books then this is the book for you.
