Spring has Sprung!

I have come to terms that Spring is my favourite season of the year. Some days its nice and chilly, some days the weather is warm enough to get your legs out and some days it just feels like summer. The weather in London over the weekend was surprisingly superb. It was such a beautiful day out we couldn't help ourselves but to start the day early and leave the house despite having a lot of work to do. After much compromising, we agreed to go out and do work at a cafe in central and enjoy the beautiful outside world. Because all week I've been stuck in university doing work indoor unable to enjoy the *read dramatically* beautiful outside world, the nice crisp cold air, birds chirping...the wind in my hair.

We grabbed our first coffee at this place in Carnaby street called Department of Coffee and Social Affairs where we thought of doing work. It was a pretty cute place we found online under "Best places to do work with wifi- cafes" however when we got there we searched high and low for plugs but we could'nt find any. We settled at a spot nearby the entrance facing the outside and got our laptops out. Jamal leans over and asks the girl over the counter for their wifi password and she answers "Sorry, we don't have wifi". Firstly, what cafe doesn't have plugs. What cafe doesn't have wifi????? I get it if you're trying to promote "socialising" instead of surfing the net and being anti social but come on we are here to do work. We pretty much need plugs and wifi connection. Hello.  Since we already sat down we were kind of obliged to order something. I was hungry and annoyed and slightly angry. I ordered an iced latte and a croissant. The croissant arrived first. It was big and fluffy and I really thought it would be good. But NO. It was like an old croissant that was soft. I was so disappointed! Thankfully, their coffee was nice. I'd give their iced latte a solid 8 however I really thought it was over priced.

After finishing our coffee and croissant, we window shopped a little to calm ourselves down. I really wanted to get work done so we ended up going to Starbucks on Regent Street. We got to get some work done and I had my second drink of the day. My iced matcha latte. Lunch was at the Burberry Cafe called Thomas's where I had the truffle Mac and Cheese whilst Jamal had the whole lobster and fries. The food was good and the ambiance was nice and chilled. Since we arrived around after lunch, the restaurant wasn't full at all. There were only a few tables occupied.

We decided to browse around Regent Street and somehow we ended up at Green Park for a little stroll for a nice chill session whilst Jamal smoked his cigar in the park. The park was full! Everyone was soaking up the sun, couples, pets, families, you name it. They were all there. As the sun started to set, we ended up taking a train to Harrods as I had to stock up on my facial products. Oh my god. So i've been out of toner for approximately two months now and the state of my face is beyond bearable. I have always been putting buying them off because I was just so lazy to travel from Angel to Harrods. It isn't very far but it is a lot of effort (Thats a different story). But all in all, our day was productive; we got to do work and enjoy the sun and the outdoors!

London you are beautiful and I never want to leave!
