I think Ed's song, Thinking out loud is a beautiful beautiful song. It didn't take long for me to relate to it completely. This song is about two people that are madly in love with each other - His partner being of old age. Since they have been together for such a long period of time, Ed is not able to impress her any further as she knows him insides and out. "Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?" Ed asks. He wants to know whether she will still love him the same even though they have been together for so long and that they are not as young as how they used to be before. 

The chorus of the song just screams eternal love. Ed expresses himself, telling her that he will love her even at 70. As that is just figurative, he means that he will love her endlessly, at whatever age she may be. Old or wrinkly. Thus loving her the same at 70 as he did at 23. He is so madly in love with her that any thing shed do would make him fall in love with her over and over again. Harder and harder. He is head over heels for her. 

Ed then explains himself as the title itself "Thinking Out Loud". He wants to say it out loud. He wants to tell her how much he loves her and how she makes him feel. He mentioned that when he is no longer famous, when people don't know anymore that he's some famous singer, they don't recognize him anymore, his name - his face, he knows that she will still be there by his side and still love him till the end. 

That is what true love is all about - loving someone with disregard to the shallowness and materialism that our world is filled with today. In a nutshell, Ed's song, if a beautiful and romantic song. He is a truly gifted singer and song-writer. He has touched many souls and gave hope to those who needed it through his wonderful music.
