I N G R E D I E N T S

I made a Banoffee Tart for my flatmates two days ago. It took me about 30 minute to make with 5 minutes for preparation. Surprisingly, this delicious dessert is super easy to make, So keep on listening all you sweet tooths!

What you'll need?

Melted butter, digestive biscuits, bananas, a bowl, chocolate, whip cream, caramel.

Steps:

Firstly, crush the digestive biscuits until they turn into soft unclumpy crumbs. Add the melted butter and mix it with your fingers after. Spoon the crumbs with a spoon and press it to the base of your tin/bowl that you're using for the pie. Chill it for 10 minutes.

Next, spread the caramel all over the base. Don't over beat it, simply spread it gently with your spoon.

Whilst waiting for the caramel base to set, you can then cut the bananas into small pieces.Once done, scatter the pieces onto the top on the caramelised pie. Smother the pie with either freshly whipped cream or whip cream from the can. The next step is optional. You can also grate some milk chocolate onto the pie to give it more flavour.

There you go! ALL READY TO SERVE!

Step One

Boil the macaroni in the pot (medium heat) and set aside after done. Do not drained the water.By not doing so, the pasta will be nice and moist. While waiting for the pasta to soften, chop half an onion into small cubes/squares and grate a whole bloc of cheese. Get a fresh clean pot and cut a fairly thick slice ( do you even call it slicing? haha) of butter. Butter is a substitute for oil. Let it melt. Then add the chopped onions in and fry till slightly brown.

Step Two

While stirring with a wooden spoon, add a tablespoon of flour bit by bit. Then, pour a cup of milk in, also bit by bit. The flour helps thicken it and the presence of the milk helps it be more creamy and watery.Next, the fun part. Cheeesssseee... Add in the grated cheese.(only half of the grated cheese) I like mine slightly watery, so that when I put my portion in the oven, it won't be fully dry. You don't have to put in a cup of milk, you would have to use your own instinct. Add in some salt and pepper for flavor.

* Note: You must keep stirring...

Step Three

If you have any other ingredients you would like  add eg. mushrroms/chicken slices/bacon then just add them into the pot while stirring. I added slices of sausages in mine. Stir it for about another 5minutes so that the sausage is cooked fully. While waiting for it to cook, you can also pre heat the oven fro about 15 minutes at 175 deg celsius.

Step Four

Pour the macaroni into another bowl (the one that you can put into an oven) and lather the remaining grated cheese onto the pasta. The grated cheese should cover everytning.Once done, put it into the over and leave it for 30 minutes.

Hope it helps!

Goodluck!

2 weeks ago, I had my first Pavlova at Kulcats Barrio, TTDI. Before this, I have heard so much from my friends about this sweet dessert. I didn't really care at first, as I thought it was fattening and I didn't see the big deal of tasting it because I was still so into Apple Crumble.

So my friends and I had dinner at Kulcats and I don't know, i just felt like trying the pavlova. It looked pretty interesting. Strawberries, grapes and cream everywhere.  There were only 2 pavlovas left so I reserved one for dessert. After dinner, my pavlova arrived. It looked big and I was worried I couldn't finish it. When I had my first bite, it was like i died and went to pavlova heaven. (ok i tend to over exaggerate but it was really good) Very light and not too sweet. Juuuust right.
